Our Theme: Turning Education into Action!
LAQC strives to create an environment for LGBTQ college students all over the state to network, build leadership skills, and engage in discussions about the state of the LGBTQ movement in our state and on our various campuses. Join us for a keynote address from a staff person at The Trevor Project, and a panel discussing the state of the LGBTQ movement in Louisiana, and fun and engaging workshop opportunities.
Our keynote address will be given by Alison Gill, the Governmental Affairs Director for The Trevor Project. Dedicated, innovative, and positive, Alison joined The Trevor Project in 2012 bringing expertise in youth public policy and advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels.
Each year, LAQC features a "State of the Movement" Panel. You won't want to miss this candid discussion between community advocates from around the state as they give their insights and perspectives on the state of the queer movement in Louisiana.
Registration will open soon on our website: http://laqueerconference.org
Workshop proposals are also being accepted on the website. Email communications@laqueerconference.org with any questions.
